What is this scheme?
PMFME helps small food processing businesses become formal, improve their products, and grow by giving them financial support, training, and access to incubation facilities.
Objectives
- The Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme promotes the formalisation of the unorganized microenterprises in the food processing sector through the establishment of Incubation Center based on One District One Product (ODOP).
- To support establishment and utilization of Incubation Centers for ODOP and other products to be used on commercial basis
- To provide training and capacity building support micro entrepreneurs/ SHGs/FPOs/Cooperatives and groups through Incubation Centers at the training rates prescribed under PMFME Scheme based on National Skill Framework.
Who can apply (eligibility)
- Existing individual microentrepreneurs/micro units/ SHGs/ FPOs/ Individuals.
What do you get?
- Individual Units are provided with credit linked capital subsidy at 35% of the project cost with the maximum ceiling of ₹10 lakh per unit.
- FPOs and Producer Cooperatives are provided with 35% grant with credit linkage.
- SHGs are provided with seed capital of ₹40,000 per member for working capital and purchase of small tools.
- Support through incubation centres.
