What is this scheme?
MAHIR supports startups, industry, and research institutions in developing and testing advanced power and clean-energy technologies.
Objectives
The Ministry of Power and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy have launched a National Mission, titled “Mission on Advanced and High-Impact Research (MAHIR)”, to identify emerging technologies in the power sector, to facilitate indigenous research, development, and demonstration of said latest and emerging technologies, at scale, for deployment within and outside India.
Who can apply (eligibility)
- Academia, Industry, Startups and R&D Institutions, and similar entities, working in the fields: Carbon Capture & Utilization, Green hydrogen for mobility (High Efficiency Fuel Cell), Automation and Artificial Intelligence: indigenous development of the eco-system, Geothermal Energy, Alternatives to Lithium-Ion storage batteries.
What do you get?
- The financial support rendered under this program is subjective to the nature of the project, budgetary requirements of the same, the infrastructure required to implement it, in addition to the research area it falls under.
