What is this scheme?
GENESIS is a government scheme that helps early-stage startups turn innovative ideas into viable businesses by providing funding, support, and guidance so new ventures can grow and create economic value.
Objectives
The Gen-Next Support for Innovative Startups (GENESIS) supports eligible Implementing Agencies (IAs) to provide funding, mentor access, and access to innovation infrastructure and ecosystem to technology startups in Tier-II and Tier-III cities in India.
Who can apply (eligibility)
- Entities registered under Section 8, Incubators, Accelerators, Educational Institutes recognised by UGC/AICTE/Formed under Central/State Act and other startups ecosystem entities that are engaged in supporting startups.
What do you get?
- Recurring financial support will be offered to approximately 50 IAs for the duration of the scheme.
- Investment and pilot funding support to startups ranging from ₹10 lakh (for early-stage startups), to up to ₹1 crore (deep-tech startups).
- Capacity building initiatives for the startup ecosystem in Tier II and III cities.
