What is this scheme?
Academic and non-academic institutions can apply to AIM to set up ACICs that provide infrastructure facilities and capacity building opportunities to entrepreneurs in aspiring cities.
Objectives
Atal Community Innovation Centres (ACIC) are supported by the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM). It aims to offer infrastructure facilities and capacity building opportunities to potential entrepreneurs in aspiring regions.
Who can apply (eligibility)
- The following academic and non-academic applicants with a minimum of 3 years of existence are eligible to apply:
- Academic applicants: UGC and AICTE affiliated Universities / College; Educational Institutions like ITIs & other technical diploma colleges.
- Non-academic applicants: Voluntary and other organizations with strong experience in the promotion of Science and Technology.
What do you get?
- Support up to ₹2.5 crore in multiple tranches, based on the approved budget made by the applicant.
- Funding from AIM to cover 50% of total project.
- Applicant to match the remaining contribution either through PPP or private contribution.
